Today is rainy and all my projects feel rainy too. I'm sure you've all been there: every project seems to have stalled or become difficult for one reason or another. I'm trying to be disciplined because I have a deadline for one of the designs. But I have a whole cubby of sock yarn that says, "Knit me, knit me!" And the only thing stopping me is that the needles I'd like to use for new socks are being used for this rather stubborn design. (The design is a pair of mitts which you can see in the upper left of my knitting basket. And now that I've fixed my very silly mistake that I made in the pattern, it should knit up much faster. Bonus: The mitts have a companion hat that has been finished and is just about ready to be tested.)
Anyways... as I went out to take the picture, I noticed that I'm knitting all blue projects! The mitts, a pair of Police Box Sox (I'm on the foot of the second one!), and a Watch Cap for me that I started last night. I heard the siren's call and I gave in. Also, I can't seem to find any of my other hats, so I used knitter's logic: make a new one.
What colors are you guys all knitting at the moment? Do you have a predominate color ruling your knitting life?

I'm knitting a pair of socks in a green/yellow/brown yarn (autumn shades), a pair in blue, another in blue and white, one in orange and red and finally a jersey in wine. Quite a wide range really, but some are for other people in my family.
they might all be in the blue family but you have a variety of weights. sometimes i like that in my WIPs - i can pick up something and make progress quickly.
as for me, i'm in a red/black/purple phase. i've been planning a few garments and those are some of my favorite colors.
can't wait to see the mitts when you're done!
I'm knitting in blue and brown at the moment!
You know when I think of blue, I think you of you. Rhyme not intended. :)
The season seems to dictate my knitting colors. Spring is usually bright and fresh colors.
Love the look of your WIP basket!
Such a lovely photo! I am also knitting blue, but this project is nearly done and once it is I'm moving on to red/pink socks just to jolt my system. I definitely find myself knitting similar colours all the time, so I'm trying to be better at noticing when that's happening and mixing in different ones so I end up with more varied finished knits.
I can't wait to see your new designs!
Wow, those are gorgeous yarns! I'm glad to hear you are getting rain... aren't you having a big drought, or is that in another part of the state? My main project is white and grey, which has been reminiscent of the winter weather.
I've had a stubborn design too. It's taken me a while, but I actually started it last night and am hopeful that it's actually going to be ready for this weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing another of your amazing designs!
Colours... hmm. There's a mixed bag happening in my basket at the moment. Love all your blues though.
Such a lovely picture, it looks like a bird nest :)
How funny! I don't have a knitting color scheme happening at the moment but my projects have been 'feeling rainy' too. Been a little uninspired by the things I've been working on, really need to change that and get to some designs that have been waiting in the wings to be made. Excited to see your mitts!
