Slow Sock Progress

I had this great plan. I was going to have my wisdom teeth out, then I was going to sit on the couch and knit for a week. It was foolproof. Teeth out = knitting time. I was going to be done with a pair of socks.

What actually happened is that I didn't have enough energy to even touch the needles until last night. So I've only knit 30 rounds of my second Denature sock. Ah well.

Sorry - was that Denature or Denture ?

Oh no, I'm sorry I really sympathize with you. I recovered very slowly from my surgery too, I didn't like what they used to put me under and my stomach was really upset. I hope that you aren't having to go through that. I got through mine with applesauce (the organic kind they always have at the grocery store) and episode after episode of Top Gear (which is even funnier when on painkillers).

Ouch!! Dental work is the worst! Hope you're feeling better soon. That yarn is GORGEOUS!!

Don't feel bad about taking it easy. Four teeth out is hard on the body.

Beautiful socks! But yeah... pain meds often drain one's energy for even the least energy-expending activities (like knitting). On the few times I've had to call in sick to work, I have this temporary elation that even though I feel bad I can knit all day - - the reality is that being tired and feeling ill do not make for good knitting time. Good luck on a speedy recovery! The mouth heals very fast.

Yeah, I don't think I got much knitting done while I was recuperating from having my wisdom teeth out a couple of years ago. Don't worry- I'm sure that the knitting bug will come back with a vengeance when you're ready for it!

Oh sad... I'm sorry the plan didn't go as you'd hoped! When I feel sick, knitting is unfortunately the last thing I want to do.

Isn't it funny that Denature sounds a lot like "dentures"...?
